Goal:
The aim of the project is to develop a modern technology for obtaining high-quality, one-type hemp fiber, intended for the production of good-quality, environmentally sustainable textile and decorative products. Currently, plants grown on purpose to produce high-quality, long, delicate fiber are used to produce hemp decorative fabrics. Short, one-type hemp fiber as a cheaper product, of lower quality or a by-product of seed crops, is used only for industrial purposes (twine, mats). New technology for growing and processing hemp (without the use of chemicals) allows use of low-quality raw material, giving it a higher economic value and the quality necessary for use in the textile and decorative industry.
